School Fees Update April 2024

Each year the school budget and fees are reviewed to make sure that not only are we giving the best possible value for money to our students, but also to ensure that the school can run smoothly and improve its services. This gives more value to students as they have better equipment, sufficient classes and more training partners. Any increase of fees is never a small decision and avoided wherever possible. However, when an increase is needed, it is always done in the fairest way possible for both the students and the business.

2023

In 2023 we got in new mats for ground-fighting and takedown practice, new pads for our pad-work, increased the number of classes available to all ages and opened our Sunday morning classes. A busy year!

Monthly Fees

In January 2024, the hall hire increased which is an addition to the outgoing costs along with increases in insurance premiums, stock and equipment prices, general inflation, marketing and of course, cost of living which is seeing so many business close their doors.

In terms of student fees, we will always avoid increasing these wherever possible. So this year, rather than offset the increased daily running with an increase in monthly tuition fees, we have opted to adjust other fees which are less regular and in most cases, optional (seminars and gradings), to consolidate the increased running costs. This makes a smaller, overall yearly cost to the students, while still allowing us to function. We will also be initiating the Association Fee, as outlined below.

So, in short - NO INCREASE to our monthly subscription fees!

Association Fees

In April 2024, a fee of £10 per year will be added to all students accounts. This fee is for membership to PEWTA and covers the student for a variety of benefits. Including, but not limited to:

• Students Insurance

• Membership discounted prices on association events

• Access to association only events

• Open invitations to all Alliance and Association classes and seminars anywhere in the world

• Use of the PEWTA syllabus - reviewed and updated regularly in collaboration with worldwide Masters both inside and outside of the International Wing Tsun Alliance

The Phoenix Eye Wing Tsun Association has been working very hard to provide the best possible tuition for its students, responsible training for its teachers and accumulation of a immense amount of Wing Tsun, Martial Arts and teaching knowledge from all around the world. As a founding member of the International Alliance of Wing Tsun, Sifu Della has been working with the other founders and other Martial Arts Masters from across the globe to put together the most comprehensive and modern curriculum possible. The system has been catalogued into a comprehensive syllabus to make it easy to follow and learn for all students. The syllabus is constantly being reviewed and where necessary, updated, to align with the current demand of todays society and understanding of learning.

Please note - the fee is payable in advance of the years training, meaning that in April, the fee will kick in and cover your membership until April 2025. At which time, a recurring fee of £10 will be initiated. There is nothing for students to do as this will be applied to your Gocardless account.

Members who joined in 2024 - your signup fee includes the membership and so will not be charged again until a year after your start date, in 2025.
