Code Of Conduct
Our code of conduct is in place to ensure the safety and security of all our members. Please ensure you are familiar with our Terms & Conditions so as to allow growth of yourself and all those on the same Martial Arts journey.
1. Respect Yourself
Hold yourself to a high standard. Maintain good discipline, show good manners and high standards of behaviour. Be sure to know the school etiquette and do not accept anything less of yourself. Arrive on time (this means early), have good personal hygiene, be in a fully fit and ready state to train and have your mind in gear.
2. Respect others
Be respectful of all those around you, and considerate of their personal values, beliefs and needs. Your “win” should never require another’s suffering. Intolerance and entitlement have no place here.
3. Respect the School
This is both the physical location and the spirit of the school which is a representative of the art of Wing Tsun itself. Be mindfull of the hard work and sacrifices made by those who came before you, which allow the school to exist.
Do not dishonour the uniform.
4. Have an Open Mind
Statements close the mind; questions open the mind. Ask the teacher questions, ask others, ask yourself. Explore the art and look to understand it and others a little more each day. “You cannot add to a cup that is already full” - So empty your cup, be a humble student and a sponge for learning and understanding.
5. Appreciate The Journey, Have fun (but not at the expense of the other rules)
The goal matters, but its the steps you take that shape you. Be present. Learn from the falls, laugh when you can, and enjoy the ride - even when its tough. Why cry when you can laugh?
